
Ginger Julep
LIQUOR: Angostura Bitters, Whiskey
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
Here’s a great ginger julep. Bourbon and Big O are best friends. Add fresh mint and you have a dangerously smooth refresher.

Ingredients
- 1½ oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
- 1½ oz quality bourbon
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 3 mint sprigs
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Instructions
- Slap leaves of 2 mint sprigs.
- Place in mixing tin with simple syrup.
- Lightly press mint with muddler.
- Add Big O, bourbon and bitters.
- Vigorously shake and strain over ice into a half sugar-rim old fashion glass.
- Garnish with remaining mint sprig.
