Valentino’s Matador


This take on the Blood & Sand cocktail of the 1920s uses the gentle peatiness of scotch, enhanced with cherry, orange and ginger (in our version), to create a beautifully balanced cocktail that’s not too sweet.



  • ¾ oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • ¾ oz Scotch whisky
  • ¾ oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
  • ¾ oz orange juice


  1. Build the cocktail over ice.
  2. Shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with orange peel.
