
The John and Jackie “O” Flip
LIQUOR: Peychaud's Bitters, Whiskey
DIFFICULTY: Moderate
Flips can be a challenge, but if done well, they are a rich, silky cocktail perfect for winter. This one adds the butteriness of Blanton’s bourbon and the spice of Big O with the tartness of lemon/lime. Be sure to shake the egg and sour mix before adding the ice to ensure the pleasant silkiness of this drink.

Ingredients
- 1½ oz Blanton’s Bourbon
- 1 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
- 1½ oz fresh lime juice
- 1 whole egg
- 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
Instructions
- Dry shake (without ice) the egg with the lime juice.
- Add ice, bourbon and Big O.
- Shake vigorously, strain into a chilled flip glass.
- Garnish with a dash of Peychaud’s Bitters and grated cinnamon.
