DIFFICULTY:

This is a delightfully complex and boozy cocktail with lots of layers of flavor: Big O, rye, cognac, Cointreau, and two aromatic bitters. It’s a late-night sipper.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • ¾ oz rye whiskey
  • ¾ oz cognac
  • ¼ oz orange liqueur
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir until well chilled.
  2. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with lemon zest.
