Pushing Forward Back (by Ted Kilgore)

DIFFICULTY:

Ted Kilgore has one of the most refined palates of any mixologist we know, and this cocktail highlights his skills beautifully. We taste late summer and early Autumn in this complex gin concoction.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • 1 oz North Shore No. 11 Gin
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • ¼ oz maple syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 dash peach bitters (I use home made but Fees will due)
  • About one oz Brut Champagne to top

Instructions

  1. Shake all but the bubbles and strain into a coupe or other lovely, clear cocktail glass.
  2. Top with Brut Champagne.
