Our talented friend Mel James created this cocktail for a special pop-up dinner years ago. It has the most interesting and pleasing combination of spice, bitter, sweet, sour and fruit imaginable. The strawberry-balsamic syrup is a delightful addition along with the sparkling wine topper.



  • 1 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • ½ oz Campari
  • ½ oz strawberry/balsamic syrup
  • 1 oz sparkling wine


  1. Combine all ingredients (except sparkling wine) in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled champagne flute.
  3. Top with sparkling wine.
