A talented mixologist from Kansas City created this cocktail some years ago. Its layers of flavor will surprise and delight your palate. We drink it in summer because the hint of mint in the Fernet-Branca, enhanced by the red vermouth, lime and ginger beer – and the balancing sweetness of Big O, make this a refreshingly complex and satisfying combination.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • ½ oz Fernet-Branca
  • ½ oz Lillet Rouge
  • ¼ oz lime juice
  • Ginger beer

Instructions

  1. Shake all ingredients – except ginger beer – with ice.
  2. Strain into a double rocks glass filled with ice.
  3. Top with ginger beer.
  4. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
