One of our favorite mixologists, Layla Linehan, won our first cocktail competition with this riff on the margarita. When summer sizzles this combination of tequila, Big O, papaya juice, lime and mint will cool you down quick!

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 oz repasado tequila
  • 3/4 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • 1 oz papaya juice
  • 1/3 oz lime juice
  • 6-8 pieces of mint (muddled)
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. In a mixing tin combine all ingredients, add ice, and shake for about 20 seconds.
  2. Using a fine strainer, strain drink into a double rocks glass filled with ice (and, if you want, a salted rim.)
  3. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
